Wholesail allows you to pay invoices via ACH by linking your bank account through our secure partner Plaid. This guide explains how to connect your account by signing in with your bank username and password.
We take security seriously. Wholesail partners with Plaid, an industry leader in bank integrations. Your credentials are handled with bank-level encryption and are never stored on Wholesail’s servers.

1. Go to Your Payment Accounts
- Login to your Wholesail account by clicking here.
- Navigate to Settings, then select Payment accounts.
- Click Add payment account.
2. Choose “Connect New Bank”
- A pop-up will appear, allowing you to add a new bank account.
- Review and agree to the Terms of Service if prompted.
- Select Connect new bank.
3. Choose the “Instant [Recommended]” Option
- Plaid will ask how you want to link your bank.
- To connect via your bank username and password, select Instant [Recommended].
- Click Continue.
4. Search for Your Bank
- Type the name of your bank into the search box.
- Select it from the list once it appears.
5. Enter Your Bank Credentials
- Plaid may redirect you to your bank’s login screen or secure portal.
- Enter your bank username and password.
- If you have multiple accounts (checking, savings, etc.), select which one you want to link.
- You may be asked for additional security prompts based on your bank (e.g., two-factor authentication).
6. Confirmation & Success
- Once your login is confirmed, Plaid will display a Success message.
- You’ll be redirected back to Wholesail, where you’ll see the newly added bank account.
- You’re all set! You can now pay invoices through Wholesail with this account.
Did you know? You can optionally authorize your bank account for vendor use.
This can be helpful if you want your vendor to:
- Handle ad-hoc payments on your behalf.
- Set up autopay or recurring charges without you logging in each time.
